for ages 3-12
Our organization has built partnerships with various inclusion settings in the area where we have established satellite sites of our program. As children are ready, we provide support to allow for exposure to typical peers and traditional learning environments for portions of their day using behavior based decisions.
Children in these programs are learning to generalize various skills to group environments and acquire new skills within the context of a group, while still incorporating the individualized research-based behavior interventions of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Individualized treatment plans, behavior interventions, and a variety of technologies including shaping, reinforcement and token systems allow for each child to bridge the gap between the clinic and mainstream settings. Bridge programs provide a one to one therapist and have one Board Certified Behavior Analyst for every 5-7 cases. Clients may also participate in age appropriate group learning as they are expanding their abilities and generalizing skills. Data collection and analysis are an integral part of every client’s treatment plan to ensure that the treatment we are providing is working and to help us make adjustments as needed. We have programs with different levels of support to ensure placement is the least restrictive setting possible for each client.
A significant emphasis of our programs is inclusion in the community and a focus on skills that can be applied to a client’s everyday life. Quality of life for the client and their family is of utmost importance, and safety and independence are our top priority for every client. All children have the use of an iPad and we offer individualized parent, sibling and caregiver training so that continuity of care and generalization of skills can be achieved. Your participation is vital to your child’s success.
Our Bridges programs aim to ease the transition from an artificial, clinic setting to a community, mainstream setting. All of the decisions that go into your child’s treatment plan are based upon their own specific needs and goals as well as based upon behavior data gathered by our therapists. At Including Kids, we believe that every child has great potential. Each of our Bridges programs will give increase social awareness and strategies for learning in a traditional setting, giving your child tools that are transferable to any setting throughout their lives.
