Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder marked by an ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning of development. This disorder is difficult to understand for both the individual and his or her support system. It usually manifests itself from ages 3 – 6 but can go undiagnosed in many until they are much older, resulting in confusion and frustration throughout learning processes, career paths, and relationship escapades. During this workshop the disorder will be presented by an individual who lives it every single day and will present practical strategies for any in attendance that experience ADHD’s symptoms either for themselves or as one who is lucky enough to parent, teach, support, and sometimes just watch in awe while patiently enduring the exploits of one or more of these fantastic individuals.
