Transition from School to Work for Individuals with ASD
Presented By Asst Community Outreach Director, Joel Johnson, CRC
Transition is a term that many people throw around, being used in such broad ways that is difficult to pin down what this “move from one area to another” actually means. The problems most often faced following school are in the areas of vocation and securing appropriately independent housing. This presentation will specifically define what “transition” from school to work means in the real world, facilitate a discussion to find the right work environment for a person with ASD, and address the challenges of moving from the school mindset into that of competitive employment.
Complimentary lunch provided!
This will be a small group with plenty of opportunities for questions.
