FULL TIME DAY PROGRAMS:

STEPPING STONES (approximate ages 2-9) |
Operates 30 hours per week, using a one-to-one child to therapist ratio, with intensive intervention instruction conducted at each child’s individual skill level/need addressing the areas of language/communication, social skills/executive functioning, academics, self-help and behavior.  Opportunities for inclusion in mainstream private schools is available as the children are ready.

LEAP (approximate ages 9-12) |
Designed to help children, ranging 9-12 years old,  transition from a discrete trial program into a more traditional academic program while still incorporating research based behavioral intervention and instruction, including shaping, reinforcement, task analysis, and token systems as needed for each child.

SOAR ACADEMY (approximate ages 12-22) |
A middle/high school age program that operates 30 hours a week; support levels vary depending on each child’s needs.  The program focuses on teaching functional academics and meaningful life skills through pre-vocational and personal exploration.  The goal of this program is to provide an age-appropriate setting for children on the autism spectrum to learn important life skills in preparation for their next step in life.  This is accomplished through a mixture of individual, group and community teaching methods.

BRIDGE PROGRAMS
As children are ready, we include them into typical classrooms. We have built partnerships with various private schools in the area where we have established satellite sites of our program.

SATURDAY SUPPORT SERVICES |
Monthly workshops are presented to facilitate development of specific skills that are vital to our children’s success in the community.  Workshop topics focus on behavior, academics, social skills, self-help skills, communication, and family support. A friend of InKids has generously provided a grant to provide these services free of charge. Childcare for parents attending the workshops is included in the grant. More information can be found in the “Saturday Support Services” section of our website. Registration is required. Find out more.

SIB CLUB |
Not forgetting our siblings of children with autism, we offer a once-a-month support group for our school age siblings. This group provides siblings  with a group of peers who “get it”. Facilitators assist the children in sharing feelings and experiences in an encouraging and positive format.  The children are able to bond with other children who understand both the ups and downs of having a sibling with autism. This group is now provided free-of-charge during Saturday Support Services! Children may still attend this group if they do not have a parent attending the workshop. Registration is required.

PUBLIC/PRIVATE SCHOOL CONSULTATION |
This program focuses on helping train the educational professionals who interact with children with autism in an inclusion setting and need the support to create a successful environment. Please contact us for more information.

COMMUNITY CONSULTATION/AWARENESS |
It is the goal of InKids to help the community understand autism and be more open to inclusion opportunities.   We present to community groups such as rotary clubs, parent support groups, churches, and anyone else who is interested in learning more.
