Fall Festival Review

On Halloween, Including Kids held their first annual Fall Festival at the new Center for Community Inclusion (CCI) location off of Beltway 8 and Wilson Rd in Humble. Attendees played fun carnival games, jumped in a bounce house, took pictures at the photo booth, exchanged tickets for prizes, ate popcorn, and trick or treated in the strip center. autism_halloweenParents also had the opportunity to win one of four door prize baskets including a Family Fun Night basket, a Temple Grandin basket, and two baskets of goodies from Great Harvest Bread in Kingwood!

Some of the local businesses were happy to hand out candy to our kiddos including Rising Sun Restaurant, Fall Creek Family Dental, Eco-Green Dry Cleaners, the strip center management office, Fondren Orthopedics, That Burrito, Capstone Dentistry and Beauty Charm salon. Thank you for helping give our kiddos the opportunity to go trick or treating at this event!

Including Kids’ clients helped create some of the games that were played such as Spider Catapult, Pick the Franken Nose, and Pumpkin Golf. Several of the CCI young adult clients also helped run the games for the children by showing them how to play and by awarding tickets to exchange for prizes!

A BIG thank you to Space Walk of Northeast Houston for donating the bounce house, The Fun Shop for donating water and popcorn to the event, and Great Harvest Bread in Kingwood for donating two door prize baskets of goodies, including gluten free items!

We had a bunch of volunteers help out at the event as well including Including Kids board members who handed out prizes and popcorn and ran games! InKids is so grateful to everyone who helped make this a successful first Fall Festival! We look forward to hosting next year’s Fall Festival at our NEW building (under construction now)!
