Insperity meets Including Kids for “Light it up Blue” week.
The week of April 1st-April 4th proved to be an amazing time for all as Insperity sent volunteers from their organization to meet our amazing kids and their therapists.
In classrooms 3 & LEAP, the volunteers interacted with our kids by going to Jumpalooza with them. Some of the volunteers didn’t hesitate when asked if they wanted to join in on the inflatables.
SOAR & SBU included the volunteers in their typical day of 1:1 therapy and going to Athletic Republic for their “P.E. Class”
On Wednesday, the Insperity team met at Northeast Christian Academy to interact with our bridge students there. While there the volunteers were treated to the students introducing themselves through their “All about me” presentation, they had the opportunity to read one on one with each of the students and even took part in a scavenger hunt.
Insperity wrapped up the week by joining our students at our bridge site, Holy Trinity Episcopal. The students greeted them with a poster and gave each of them a tour of “their” school. During the last half hour of their visit our amazing students even conducted a science experiment with them!
The “Community Connections” grant enabled the children of ALL of our Including Kids programs to participate in 231 in-house community activities, in conjunction with 588 community outing activities. These benefitted our children as well as our community.
